The International Education School Organized International Students to Participate in the “Intangible Cultural Heritage Builds a Bridge of Peace” International Study Course

On the morning of August 3, the School of International Education organized international students from Ghana, Pakistan and Tajikistan to participate in the “Intangible Cultural Heritage Builds a Bridge of Peace” international study course held by the Weixian Western Overseas Chinese Concentration Camp Site Museum to learn about China’s intangible cultural heritage.

During the event, the inheritor of Donglu Drum introduced the historical origins and artistic characteristics of Donglu Drum to international students and demonstrated the exquisite skills to the students. The students were deeply attracted by the rhythmic drum beats and melodious singing of Donglu Drum. The inheritor of Tai Chi showed the students the moves of Tai Chi and conveyed the wisdom contained in it. Under professional guidance, the students carefully studied every movement and experienced the harmony and tranquility of body and mind in the soothing movements. After the event, international students said that the traditional rap art of Donglu Drum gave them a deeper understanding of Chinese folk culture, and the study of Tai Chi made them feel the unique charm of traditional Chinese martial arts. By participating in this event, international students not only enriched their cultural life, but also enhanced their understanding and love of China’s excellent traditional culture. At the same time, this is also a beautiful landscape of cultural exchanges between China and foreign countries, and plays an important role in promoting China’s excellent culture to the world.
