In order to enrich the cultural life of international students during the holidays and experience Chinese intangible cultural heritage, on the afternoon of October 4, the School of International Education organized international students from Thailand, Kyrgyzstan and Kazakhstan to participate in the "Branding Pens to Bloom, Dreaming of Peace" intangible cultural heritage branding activity held by the Weixian Western Overseas Chinese Concentration Camp Site Museum.
During the event, the inheritor of Weixian branding introduced the artistic characteristics, production technology and cultural connotation of intangible cultural heritage branding to international students, and demonstrated the exquisite branding skills to the students. Afterwards, under the patient guidance of the teacher, the students took up the branding pen and carefully outlined the pattern of the dove of peace on the gourd, and created on this basis, completing their works carefully and meticulously. After the event, the international students said that the branding skill is very special, which gave them a deeper understanding of Chinese traditional culture, and they also hope to have more opportunities to participate in such activities in the future.
This event not only allowed international students to experience the charm of intangible cultural heritage branding, but also enhanced their understanding and love of Chinese culture, built a bridge to promote cultural exchanges between China and foreign countries, and made Chinese culture shine more brilliantly on the international stage.
